Tooro region has joined the ranks of regions unveiling their beauty queens for the upcoming Miss Tourism Uganda Grand Finale pageant. Mrikatete Michelle, a 23-year-old from Kabarole district, will proudly represent the region in this year’s competition.

In the month of June 2023, a Virginia Union University team of individuals under the direction of Dr. Mark James, Assistant Dean of Students has partnered with Drs. Deborah and Reginald L. Freeman, Jr., Bridging The Gap International (BTGI) to visit the country of Uganda.

Returning under the theme Greening Tourism, the search for Miss Tourism 2023/2024 was launched at Explorer Hub, Kololo in Kampala on Friday, March 31.
